Our neurotoxin treatments are administered by our two certified nurse injectors, who have a deep understanding of the facial anatomy and appropriate neurotoxin placement, as well as injection techniques. Neurotoxins are a quick and safe procedure that have little to no impact on usual activity. Generally, neurotoxin injection side effects are rare and recovery is extremely swift. Minor common side effects include bruising, pain, and or swelling at the injection site, and a slight headache.
We know that physiologically speaking, it takes 14 full days before we are able to see the full effects of these neurotoxins in effect. Some patients may see results as little as 3-5 days after treatment, but a full 14 days is needed to appreciate the maximum benefit of this treatment. On average, neurotoxin treatments last on average between 3-4 months, with the peak effects seen at 6 weeks post injections. We recommend that most patients schedule touch-ups every 3-4 months to maintain the best possible results.
Each person and face is unique, and is treated as such at Rejuvenate. There is not a one size fits all formula with neurotoxins. We deliver these tiny injections - neurotoxin injections are quick and virtually painless, delivered with needles the size of three hairs! Neurotoxins relax the action of the muscles that create excessive movement. The repetition of these movements by the muscles create dynamic wrinkles over time. By placing neurotoxins in these areas, we are able to essentially freeze those muscles to aid in the softening of dynamic wrinkles, and prevent further wrinkling.
We want you to rest assured, knowing that your neurotoxin treatments are performed by our injectors who appreciate the “au-naturel” look. Neurotoxins are a great way to remove fine lines and wrinkles, and prevent future skin aging - they are made with naturally occurring proteins that work to soften stiff muscles and soften lines within days of injections. This is the best kept skin care secret. Come see for yourself!
